Nice to meet you!

My name is Eric J. Masters, writer/director of The Keys of Emily. I would like to thank The Vintage Theater, this fantastic cast for bearing with me as I wrap up the writing process and to all of you who are willing to come along with us on this little trip.

This idea began a few months ago. From a young age I have always been a fan of the classic mystery, the Agatha Christie, The Charlie Chan and even the Sherlock Holmes - the “who dun it”. HOWEVER - while foggy moors and sinister butlers may have worked for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, it would not for me. I can only write what I know, and what I know is the present. Relationships, that strange stage between high school and the dreaded “mid life” period - those are things I have experienced and are living through today. With my love of the classic caper and my style of writing I have created what I feel will be a truly unique experince for all in attendance.

I was born and raised in NEPA and attended three local universities (and finally graduated from one of them……I think). I work as a research analyst for a regional data collection agency. I live with one dog, a couple of walls and a laptop. I apologize for the vaugness but this project is not about me - it is about the words and how several fine local actors will bring them to life. The cast will be announced publicly shortly.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy the ride (please be sure to join us on August 14th when this ride arrives at its destination)!

The final stages of writing are under way. The cast is coming together quite nicely…

More details will be announced as they develop - thank you for your patience.
